• Check for power to the unit

• Check phone line for dial tone, interference, and/or static

• Power fail the ATM and modem by unplugging unit, wait 3 seconds, and re-plug unit

• Check for low paper or currency

• Check three cables on the rear of the POS device (back of the screen)

• Print <Device Status> to receipt printer from Maintenance menu

• Retrieve DI Codes from the journal tape (i.e., Paper Low: DI01 2D:50:00)
